If you are new to the game, you probably don't know the unwritten rules. These rules typically apply in the less competitive leagues where everyone there is just trying to have fun. Like when you are warming up, don't shoot high on the goaltenders. They hate that. The last thing they need is to be hurt in warmups. Another unwritten rule is how you defend. In the lesser leagues, don't be draped all over someone because that can lead to injury. Lastly, never body-check someone in the lesser leagues. Most of those leagues are non-contact, so if you do that, you likely won't be invited to play with those guys again.
This week I want to shout out the YouTube channel Hockey Tutorial. They have always done a great job of informing their audience of the best products to buy.
