Many young kids like to copy the tape job of their favorite players but you should do what works best for you. Tape on the stick helps to give a better grip when you are handling the puck. It is very important. Some players choose to put wax on their tape which will further enhance the sticky feel. It is all up to the player, and don't be afraid to be stylish with it!
